औरैया-कोविड के संक्रमण से खुद के बचने के साथ दूसरों को बचाने के लिए घर से बाहर निकलने पर खासकर भीडभाड वाले स्थानों पर मास्क लगाना बहुत जरूरी है। शोध बताते हैं कि यदि 80 फीसद आबादी मास्क पहनती है तो इससे कोविड-19 की श्रृंखला को आसानी से ख़त्म किया जा सकता है।
कोविड-19 वायरस एक व्यक्ति से दूसरे व्यक्ति के संपर्क में आने से आसानी से फैलता है। मास्क पहनने से किसी संक्रमित व्यक्ति से हवा में मौजूद थूक की बूंदों के माध्यम से कोरोना वायरस के श्वसन तंत्र में प्रवेश करने की संभावना कम हो जाती है। सही तरह से मास्क पहनकर वायरस के अन्दर जाने की सम्भावना को कम किया जा सकता है।
विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के अनुसार – मास्क प्रभावी तभी होते हैं जब उन्हें इस्तेमाल करने के साथ-साथ बार-बार अल्कोहल वाले हैंड रब या साबुन तथा पानी से हाथों को धोया जाए। यदि आप मास्क पहनते हैं तो आपको यह जानना जरूरी है कि इसका इस्तेमाल कैसे करते हैं तथा इसे किस प्रकार उचित ढंग से निस्तारित किया जा सकता है।
आमतौर पर मास्क तीन तरह के होते हैं – सर्जिकल मास्क, एन-95 मास्क और घर का बना सूती कपड़े का फेस मास्क। डिस्पोजेबल मास्क को धोएं नहीं उसे उपयोग के तुरंत बाद बंद डस्टबिन में डालें। घर पर बने सूती कपड़े के दोबारा इस्तेमाल होने वाले मास्क को धुलकर उपयोग कर सकते हैं।
*मास्क पहनने में ध्यान रखने वाली बातें-*
मास्क को पहनने से पहले हाथों को अच्छे से धोएं। ध्यान रखें कि मास्क आपके मुंह, नाक और ठुड्डी को पूरी तरह ढक लें और कहीं बीच में खाली जगह न हो। मास्क को उल्टा करके दुबारा उपयोग न करें। उसे दुबारा उपयोग से पहले अच्छी तरह धोकर सुखा लें। सार्वजनिक स्थानों पर हर समय दूसरे व्यक्ति से दो गज की दूरी बनाए रखें। घर आने पर अपने हाथों को अच्छी तरह से धोएं। अपने चेहरे को न छूएं।
*मास्क हटाते समय इन बातों का रखें ध्यान-*
मास्क को इसकी डोरी पकड़कर निकालें। मास्क हटाने के बाद किसी भी सतह को न छुएं तथा उसे कहीं इधर उधर न रखें। उसे साबुन के घोल में डाल दें। मास्क हटाने के तुरंत बाद हाथों को साबुन और पानी से कम से कम 40 सेकेण्ड तक अच्छी प्रकार से धोएं।
*कपड़े के मास्क को एक बार इस्तेमाल करने के बाद कैसे धोएं तथा सैनिटाइज करें-*
मास्क को उपयोग करने के बाद साबुन और गर्म पानी में अच्छे से धोएं और इसे धूप में कम से कम 5 घंटे तक सुखा लें। यदि धूप नहीं है तो मास्क को नमक मिले पानी में डालें और कम से कम 10 मिनट तक उबलने दें।
*धुले हुये मास्क को कैसे रखें-*
एक प्लाटिक के बैग को अच्छे से साबुन और पानी से धो लें तथा उसे दोनों तरफ़ से अच्छे से सुखा लें। इस साफ़ बैग में धुले मास्क को रखें और इसे अच्छी तरह से सील कर दें।
परिवार के हर सदस्य के पास कम से कम 2 मास्क होने चाहिए ताकि एक मास्क को पहने और दूसरे मास्क को धोकर सुखा लें। एक दूसरे के मास्क को न पहने।
